Killings: Kaduna Govt. Imposes Nightfall-to-dawn Curfew in Kajuru

The Kaduna State Authorities has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on the troubled Kajuru Native Authorities Space (LGA).
Different communities affected by the curfew are Kujama and Maraban Rido.
Kajuru is in Kajuru Native Authorities, whereas Kujama and Maraban Rido are in Chikun LGA of the state.
The federal government stated this in an announcement issued by Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s spokesperson, Samuel Aruwan.
Aruwan stated the curfew can be from 6 p.m. to six a.m. every day till additional discover.
The federal government directed safety businesses to make sure strict enforcement of the curfew.
The federal government appealed to the residents within the affected areas to bear with the inconveniences the curfew might need induced and urged them to cooperate with the safety businesses on the directive.
The Kaduna State Police Command on Monday stated no fewer than 16 individuals had been killed by gunmen at Barde Village underneath Maro in Kajuru LGA.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Yakubu Sabo, confirmed this to the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna.
Sabo stated at about 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, some unknown armed males entered Barde Village underneath Maro in Kajuru LGA and began capturing sporadically which resulted within the loss of life of 16 individuals.
He stated on receipt of the data, the command mobilised groups of police operatives led by Kajuru Divisional Police Officer (DPO) alongside navy personnel with a view to apprehend the perpetrators and restore normalcy to the world.
He added that the operation was ongoing and that the scenario had been introduced underneath management.
“Whereas investigation is in progress, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Abdurrahman, has vowed to uncover the masterminds of this dastardly act and produce them to justice,” he stated.
He appealed for calm and prolonged his heartfelt condolences to the households of those that had been affected by the current carnage.
